Dr. Chabon is most helpful to The Malpractice Law Firm in cases involving childbirth, infants and children. In addition to his more general pediatric work, he has supervised newborn or neonatal nurseries. He is a valuable resource in judging the quality of the obstetric care during labor and delivery and the neonatal care following delivery. In some cases, he sees the injured child over a period of time to access their progress and advise the trial lawyers on the expert witnesses needed to explain the case.
A graduate of Georgetown University Medical School, Robert Chabon was a fellow in neonatology at Einstein College of Medicine and served on the faculties of Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and other medical schools. He also served as an adjunct professor of law at Duquesne University Law School. Dr. Chabon is a cum laude graduate of the University of Maryland Law School. In addition, he earned a cum laude Master of Public Health from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar.
