Jack Olender’s mission
After completing his Master of Laws in Forensic Medicine at the George Washington University Law School and Medical School in the 1960s, Jack Olender founded Jack H. Olender & Associates, PC with a profound sense of duty to champion justice for the catastrophically injured throughout Metropolitan Washington, D.C.
His tireless efforts to hold accountable those who cause injuries have helped countless medical malpractice and personal injury victims obtain full and fair compensation. He has been dubbed the "King of Malpractice", and one of the nation's most feared and recognized medical malpractice lawyers.
In 1976, Jack Olender won the country’s first multi-million dollar obstetric medical malpractice verdict on behalf of a baby girl who suffered brain damage because of substandard medical care during labor and delivery.
Since then, the firm has won—through verdict or settlement—awards of more than $1 million each in more than 200 cases.

An important member of the team is Robert Chabon, M.D., J.D. Dr. Chabon is a pediatrician as well as an attorney, and he has worked with the law firm for 30 years as “of counsel.” He is instrumental in helping us evaluate and prepare cases for settlement and/or trial.
For clients, this translates to stable, distinguished representation by a team of attorneys who coordinate their varied talents as they vigorously pursue every case.
The law firm supports the Olender Foundation which is a private, charitable foundation that funds scholarships for law students interested in public interest law for the public good. The foundation honors and supports efforts to combat poverty, intolerance, and racism and to promote equal justice for all. Hard work + experience = Success
We rely on exhaustive research, continual study to keep pace with trends in malpractice law and relevant medicine, a team approach to casework, and the use of outstanding experts in the many specialties of medicine and vocational rehabilitation, life care planning, etc. Our firm has an extensive medical library and other resources, utilizing the world's richest, most up-to-date medical and legal data.
