Jack Olender’s mission

After completing his Master of Laws in Forensic Medicine at the George Washington University Law School and Medical School in the 1960s, Jack Olender founded Jack H. Olender & Associates, PC with a profound sense of duty to champion justice for the catastrophically injured throughout Metropolitan Washington, D.C. Jack Olender is no stranger to catastrophic personal injury and identifies with those who have suffered loss. He decided to fight tirelessly on behalf of other victims.

His relentless efforts to hold accountable those who cause injuries have helped countless medical malpractice and personal injury victims obtain full and fair compensation. He has been dubbed by the media the "King of Malpractice," and has long been recognized as one of the nation's most feared and recognized medical malpractice lawyers.

In 1976, Jack Olender won the country’s first multi-million dollar obstetric medical malpractice verdict on behalf of a baby girl who suffered brain damage because of substandard medical care during labor and delivery. Since then, the firm has won—through verdict or settlement—awards of $1 million each in 200 cases.

Jack H. The Foundation honors and supports efforts to combat poverty, intolerance, and racism and to promote equal justice for all. It has honored such notables as Muhammad Ali, Sargent Shriver, Christopher Reeve, Jerry Lewis, Buzz Aldrin, Johnnie Cochran, with grants in their honor going to worthy charities that they designate.
